Admission

International School Villa Amalienhof accepts students from 3 years of age (Nursery) through to A-Level (Year 13).

The school has a policy of placing students in classes according to their date of birth, unless this is educationally inappropriate.

Prior to acceptance, it is normally required that students from Key Stages 2-4 take an English and maths test, as well as provide previous school records for review. The school also recommends 1-3 trial days, which help the child, parents and the teaching staff to decide whether International School Villa Amalienhof is the right choice. Trial days also help establish whether placement into a year group on the basis of the child’s age is appropriate.

Parents wishing to schedule an appointment or trial day should contact our school office on 030 – 36439820 or via e-mail on info@is-va.com.

Students wishing to register must provide the following:

  • Valid birth certificate or passport
  • Previous academic reports
  • A fully completed application form, which gives comprehensive information, including medical details and emergency contact numbers
  • A medical certificate from the family doctor (this must be no more than 2 weeks old)
  • 2 passport photographs

Uniform

In order to cultivate a positive approach to work and dress amongst students, the primary and secondary students are required to wear school uniforms.
Though 6th formers are not expected to wear uniforms, they are required to look smart and professional.
Under no circumstances are students allowed to wear jeans to school. Trainers are not part of the school uniform, but students may wear them during breaks.
