This year, the children of ISVA performed „Wind in the Willow“, adapted from the children’s novel by Kenneth Grahame, in the spectacular surroundings of the Konzerthaus in Gendarmenmarkt. The Primary children had busy learning their lines in the preceding weeks and were keen to finally get on stage. Some individuals had a lot of lines to learn! The show began with the central character singing “Friends Together” supported by the choir made up of Primary children together with Years 7 and 8 accompanied by the school orchestra.
Early Years set the scene at the beginning of the show as the river with Year 1 adding more colour to it as ducks. Year 2 intermingled with the characters throughout as woodland creatures. Year 3 looked menacing as weasels while Year 4 produced some comedic moments as Stoats. Pupils from Years 5 & 6 portrayed their main character admirably. Student from Years 7-9 assisted backstage.
