Our wonderful Bonfire Night has flown by! We were delighted to welcome so many visitors despite the poor weather. Various stalls and events kept adults and children busy throughout the evening, and delicious foods and drinks kept spirits up high. The fireworks were most spectacular – could the reason have been that the school celebrated its 10th Bonfire Night anniversary?
The preparation for the event had been going on for weeks beforehand, and we were delighted when we finally heard the bagpipers’ music, saw the beautiful characters on stilts, listened to the Irish band, and enjoyed the Magic Show as well as the Fire Show.
Children were more than excited to have their faces painted, and to jump around in the soft play unit, but the ponies were also waiting to be ridden and prizes to be won – so much to do!
A big thank you to all sponsors and to all my colleagues who worked tirelessly beforehand and throughout the evening. Yet again a memorable event, which also pleased the many local citizens who by now attend the event regularly. We are looking forward to the next bonfire night already!
