Welcome back to a new academic year! I hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful summer break and found the time to spend some very special family time.
I am very pleased to say that we start the school year with a full staffing team, including a number of new colleagues. We look forward to welcoming many of you at our forthcoming Welcome Evening on Thursday 16th September, at 5.30 pm. This event will present you with an opportunity to meet other parents and all staff.
In order to facilitate an even better communication link between school and home, we are attaching a list of email addresses of all staff. Your child will be looked after by the class/form teacher in the first instance and should be your first contact point, but you are also welcome to contact other staff directly if you wish.
During the course of the academic year you will receive two full school reports and an interim progress report, and you will also have the opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers three times a year at our scheduled parents’ evenings.
The term lying ahead has been well-planned and prepared. We are enclosing the calendar for the Autumn term, showing key dates and events. For your convenience the calendar can be easily displayed or stored away.
Classrooms are clean and ready, and the grounds are still looking stunning – even after a summer of plentiful summer camp activities! The new, wooden climbing frame – with funds donated by parents – is waiting to be used.
Our Year book for the academic year 2009/10 is also waiting for your admiration, and can be purchased at a price of 25 Euros from the school office.
